Daniel Day-Lewis to present DGA award



Wicklow resident Daniel Day-Lewis has been confirmed by the President of the Directors Guild of America, Michael Apted, as one of the presenters at the upcoming DGA awards.
Day-Lewis has been nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actor for his Golden Globe winning role in 'There Will Be Blood'.
This is his fourth nomination for the accolade, which he previously won in 1990 for his performance as Christy Brown in 'My Left Foot'.
Other Oscar nominees who will join Day-Lewis in presenting the DGA awards include: Marion Cotillard, Amy Ryan, Tilda Swinton, Tom Wilkinson, Hal Holbrook and Ellen Page.
'Ocean's Eleven' star Carl Reiner will return as host for the 60th annual DGA awards. This year will mark the 21st time Reiner has hosted the ceremony, which will take place on Saturday 26 January in Los Angeles.

Beatles' friend Neil Aspinall dies



Neil Aspinall, quaker and former road manager of The Beatles, has died in New House of York following a conflict with lung crab. He was 66.
Aspinall, world Health Organization was sometimes referred to as the fifth member of The Beatles, too headed Apple Army corps Ltd (which was formed to cover The Beatles' financial and business affairs) for many age.
Aspinall, world Health Organization went to shoal with Saul Sir James Paul McCartney and George Reginald Carey Harrison, became road managing director and personal help to the group in their early years.
A instruction released by Aspinall's kinsperson, on behalf of Saul of Tarsus Paul McCartney, Ringo Starkey and the widows of John Lennon and St. George President William Henry Harrison, said: "Totally his friends and loved ones will greatly miss him, but testament invariably keep on the fondest memories of a great valet de chambre."
In a divide statement, Starr added: "I've known Neil many years and he was a good supporter. We were blessed to take him in our lives and he will be missed."
A family voice said that Aspinall died at the Sloan-Kettering infirmary in New House of York Metropolis on Billy Sunday night. He became ill with lung cancer two months ago.
Aspinall is survived by his married woman Suzy and fivesome children.

Britney Spears' car is impounded



Pop singer Britney Spears has had her car impounded after abandoning it in the middle of the road.
According to People magazine, the singer left her white Mercedes on a road in Brentwood, California, after she got a flat tire.
Lt David Grimes of the Los Angeles Police Department, West LA, said: "Ms Spears's car was impounded.
"Officers on the scene told me it was blocking the roadway, and that it was unsafe enough to leave at the location."
"It was towed by a private company that's contracted with the city. Her car is being held at the official police garage tow yard."
Grimes also said: "There's not a hold on the vehicle. She just needs to show up to obtain it. She'll have to pay tow fees, and that total cost depends on how many days she leaves it there. But she won't get any citations or fines."
Spears reportedly accepted a lift from a paparazzo who was trailing her after she decided to abandon her car.

'Desperate Housewives' star Eva Longoria has rejected reports in the media that her husband Tony Parker cheated on her with a model.
Speaking to People magazine, the couple stressed they had been very happy together since their marriage this July.
Basketball star Parker said: "I love my wife. She's the best thing in my life, and I have never been happier."
Longoria added Parker had been the "perfect husband", while stating recent media reports were completely false.
The statement from the couple comes after model Alexandra Paressant told a celebrity website she had an affair with NBA star Parker after meeting him at the couple's wedding.
Paressant claimed Barcelona footballer Thierry Henry had introduced them to each other and said they later had a brief fling in the French capital Paris.
She also told the website Parker was not committed to Longoria and was still a playboy at heart.
The model said: "Everybody has to get married at a point, but [for him] it is still time to enjoy life."
Longoria and Parker tied the knot on 7 July this year, in a lavish ceremony at a castle in Paris.
